It amazes me how many times in Scripture the glorious revelation of God is followed by flagrant acts that mar such appearances. Joy is turned to sorrow and mourning. The glory of God revealed is threatened to be overshadowed by wayward wanderings that bring shame and judgment. We witness, through the Scriptures, another of these shocking turns this week. What can we learn that will help us from making the same mistakes?
