When we look at the account of the Golden Calf, I believe that all of us can see the terrible excuses given for abandoning God. However, what many of us don’t understand is that the same excuses given by the people of Israel are used today so that people won’t believe in God. If we look closely, we might even see ourselves in the unrighteous actions of the Israelites.
