Critics of the Bible often try to separate the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. One of the ways they do this is to proclaim that the idea of heaven and hell do not exist in the Old Testament. However, from our reading in Isaiah this week, we see glimpses of eternity that look awfully familiar to our “New Testament” eyes. Let’s see why glimpses of eternity begin with revelation in the Old Testament.
