Anticipation. It can be a good thing, like when looking forward to a special occasion. Or it can be a bad thing, like dreading a deadline you aren’t quite ready for. In prophecy, however, it ultimately leads to the One whom God has promised to restore all things. As we begin the “second half” of Isaiah, we are brought to the point of anticipation, as God begins to reveal, in detail, the coming of His promised One.
