Unmerited mercy…sounds like an oxymoron doesn’t it? Isn’t mercy something by nature given specifically because it is not deserved? And yet, it is this very concept of undeserved mercy that makes a wreck out of David’s family. If we do not learn from it, it can also make a wreck out of our families and our society.
